What is inside the iOS icon ZIP?
The Xcode asset catalog uses a 1024 × 1024px universal icon. Modern Xcode can derive smaller iPhone and iPad variants from that image.
1024px App Store image
A square PNG for the App Store and the universal Xcode icon slot. Leave corners unrounded; the system applies its mask.
AppIcon.appiconset
An asset folder containing the 1024px PNG and Contents.json. Copy it into Assets.xcassets in Xcode.
Additional PNG sizes
Separate PNG files are provided for older workflows. They are outside the Xcode asset folder to avoid duplicate icon slots.
This export creates the default appearance. It does not generate separate dark or tinted icon variants.
How to Generate iOS App Icons
Step 1: Upload Your Master Icon
Upload a 1024x1024 pixel square image. Do not add rounded corners; Apple applies the mask automatically.
Step 2: Verify Preview
Check the iPhone Home Screen preview. Confirm that your symbol remains legible at small sizes.
Step 3: Download & Integrate
Download the ZIP file, extract it, and replace the AppIcon.appiconset folder in your Xcode project's Assets.xcassets directory.

Should I round the corners of my icon?
No. Upload a square image. iOS applies the superellipse mask automatically. If you upload an image with pre-rounded corners, you may see black artifacts in the corners.
